The City of Berkeley Public Works Department has an exciting opportunity for Engineering Inspector. This position performs engineering inspection of public works construction projects, and interprets contract specifications to ensure contract compliance. The Engineering Inspector performs construction inspections on a variety of construction projects including streets, sidewalks, sanitary sewers, storm drains, underground pipes and conduits and other public works structures.
To qualify, you must have graduated from high school or equivalent supplemented by college level coursework in mechanical drawing, and possess two (2) years of experience in municipal engineering or construction, which included experience in construction inspection, and surveying or drafting.
Applicants passing all examination phases will have their names placed on an employment eligible list that hiring department(s) will use to fill positions throughout the year.
Additional Salary Information: Salary: $6,940.00 - $8,354.00 Monthly(In addition to a generous benefit package)
