Loyola University Maryland Lecturer of Computer Science
The Computer Science Department at Loyola University Maryland invites applications for a full-time lecturer for the 2017-18 academic year. We seek an enthusiastic individual that is committed to excellent teaching in a liberal arts setting. The successful candidate will teach primarily introductory computer science for non-majors, with other courses in computer science as needed, and will work collaboratively with the department on curricular design, assessment and improvement. The department encourages faculty to innovate and develop curriculum. Teaching load will be 4/4.
Required qualifications for the position include a minimum of a masters degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline, experience in and demonstrated commitment to teaching, and a commitment to the goals of education in the Jesuit tradition. Desired qualifications include teaching experience at the introductory college level and expertise in Java or a similar high-level language.
