What You Will Do We are seeking an outstanding postdoctoral candidate to work on a project developing and testing new methods of creating 3 dimensional meta-materials.
Where You Will Work Located in northern New Mexico, Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is a multidisciplinary research institution engaged in strategic science on behalf of national security. LANL enhances national security by ensuring the safety and reliability of the U.S. nuclear stockpile, developing technologies to reduce threats from weapons of mass destruction, and solving problems related to energy, environment, infrastructure, health, and global security concerns. What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:
Experience in optics and instrument development
Demonstrated record of scientific achievement through publications and presentations
Good communication skills
Ability to conduct research independently.
Ph.D. in an appropriate Engineering discipline or in an appropriate Scientific discipline (e.g. Physics/Chemistry) completed within the last five years or soon to be completed.
Previous experience in developing instrument control software
