While high performance computing today primarily focuses on scientific applications in areas such as physics or medicine, the Exascale research will focus on how these new powerful computing systems can be applied to solving complex business problems. The research will include both technical and applications research.
The successful candidates will be part of a research team working with external and IBM internal partners towards the creation of a novel Exascale level system, targeted towards smart stream processing.
Requirements
Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
5+ years industrial/academic experience
Background in the definition of new computer architectures for large systems, knowledge of all aspects of stream computing, parallel processing interconnection networks, system simulations
Good communication skills (English) verbal and written
